Milestones Pt:2

This is the last week of Kindergarten for Miss J. Its been a wonderful experience thus far. She went in, an already bright child, and she will emerge that much more ready for the world. I can't believe that she will be a 1st grader come Fall. I sat and stared at her today. Just taking in her spirit as she sat on the couch lost in one of her favorite tv shows, snacking on Oreos. She's a complete little person. I think I'm having a hard time internally, accepting the fact that she isn't a baby anymore. She's not a toddler, not even a "Kindergartener" anymore. But a complete little person; with her own mind and desires.

In the blink of an eye. I have a little lady on my hands.

You have the little lady on your hands already. Enjoy your baby girl and congratulations to her for making her Mommy so proud. Sniff Sniff.

ah... sweet post! And I agree 100%... my lil girl is in the same place! It's amazing how much she's grown - in mind, body AND spirit, since the day I gave birth! Congrats, Miss J!

Aaaaaw, you sure do have a li'l lady on your hands. First grade...yikes! That's a big girl move right there, Miss J!

Yes, folks used to say, "pay attention because they grow up so fast" I was so busy when they were little that I didn't take very seriously the words of those who knew. I woke up one day and they were little people with opinions, one has breasts & a period. The other gives great advice and is a skilled jewelry designer in her own right. Sigh...so fast.

awww!

that's all i can muster up. *tear*

:-D

I know how you feel! My awe at the kids getting older is always mixed with sadness. A part of me wants them to be babies forever. But...don't keep on...and keep on having them like me, LOL!
