Gratitude

Most of the time, I spend a lot of time internalizing all of the tremendous loses that I have had, sacrifices that I have made and challenges that I still have yet to face. Although I do have gratitude for many things, that which is reserved for my daughter overshadows the rest. She is not only the reason that I live, but literally the reason why I am alive today. A true reflection of my mother and God's love. Her overbearing shower of love has the power to bring me out of the deepest, darkest of places and I often find myself wondering where it originates from, instead of just taking it at face value.

The day I met her, I fell in love harder than I knew was possible and my entire world changed. For that, I am eternally grateful. What do you hold the most gratitude for?

more beautiful words from you. :-)

just seeing photos of your daughter, i can tell she's just the way you described her: loving and very expressive in showing that love. sweet.

plus she's got a banging afro puff!!

You have a beautiful daughter!!

I agree, our children are our greatest blessings!!! Although my dear husband is pretty awesome too!

Beautiful, wonderful blog!!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog...we have a lot in common with our blogs (LOL)! Yours is gorgeous! Love this picture and this post! Following you and grabbing your button!

First off, thanks so much for visiting my blog! Yours is great as well :)

I guess I'm most grateful for the people and support I've had this past year when things have been difficult for me. It's touching to know that people do care about your well-being especially when you're feeling like you're going through it alone.

Great Halloween costumes, btw!

As a fellow mother, I agree that our children bring out an incredible sense of love that we may or may not have known existed. I'd have to say that without my husband, I'm not sure I could have truly appreciated these gifts and learn to express the love in all the ways I do now. He's taught me so much about expressing myself in relationships it's allowed me to be a better mother than I would have been without him. And he taught me that before he was "hubs"...so I knew I'd keep him around. :) Your daughter is beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by today. From sits I assume? great place, sits. I love your side bar "welcome to my place" info. Makes me wanna come in and have a cup of coffee and chat with you:)

There is a lot I am grateful for. Family, friends, and so much more!

What a beautiful post and photo. Miss J is, I'm sure, equally as grateful to have you. The sacrifices, the unwavering support...all of it!The family unit-no matter the structure is truly a gift.

I'll have to steal your answer and say my daughters. Both of them. They stopped me, slowed me down, made me more cognizant of the consequences of my actions.

I wish I could be more original but I gotta say my kiddos of course!!!!

:)

Like you and many other moms, I am grateful for my son. He has certainly changed my world.
