We couldn't just leave you with the pre-trick or treating fun that we had yesterday. No Halloween celebration would be complete without hitting the streets collecting as many treats as your bag can carry. After completing my paper, lacing myself back up into my corset and picking Miss J. up from her after school program, we made plans with one of her friends to meet up for some trick or treating fun.
Between sprucing Miss J.'s afro puff and applying my red lipstick, I was asked no less than 20 times what time we were leaving the house. Not that this question had ever stopped being answered since the time those two little feet touched the floor that morning. Then she insisted on taking my picture because she wanted to make sure that granny would be able to see my costume too. Finally, darkness fell, along with a few rain drops, and we left the house and mingled with the crowd.
Near the end of the night we discovered one of about three apartments in our complex that was all decked out like a haunted house. They pulled out all of the stops on this one. It was a full cemetery, with skeletons grabbing at you from the ground, the fog machine replicating the mist of the night, and of course the headstones. It took a little coaxing, but I was able to convince Miss J. that it would be super cool to take a picture here.
She even agreed to take one with me.
And another before that. You see, there is no bad blood between Batgirl and Catwoman.
