Being a Big Sister: What Does That Really Mean?

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that, in 5 more months, it will have been 7 years since the day I got to meet the child I had been loving and caring for inside my womb. This consciousness also has me constantly thinking about the day that I will be blessed with another child. I never wanted more than 2 years between my children because it was important to me that they grow up together. But, as we all know, not everything works out the way we plan. If another child is in my future, Miss J will in fact be the much older sister. I worry about what that will mean for her. I know what it meant for me, ending up with a sister who was 8 years younger than myself.

Join me over at Moms of Hue today to chat it up about sibling relationships. I wanna hear your experiences, both as an older or younger sibling, and as the mother of siblings, if that shoe fits.

is that today? o ya! fun! gotta go bath my two kids and hopefully I'll stay awake, I'm interested to hear what others have to say about siblings and put in a couple cents of my own!

Yes ma'am, its today =). Ooohh, bath time is always fun. Hope to hear from you over at MOH whenever you get the chance, doesn't have to be tonight. I appreciate your support Shannon.

My brother is 8 years older than me and since the pattern repeats itself, my son is 7 years older than his younger sister. But although my brother and I didn't grow up that close, we got especially close later in life. So it won't be so bad if that is on the horizon for you.
