Busy, Busy, Busy

I've been in my own little world lately. Busy trying to organize these last papers in my head, while simultaneously trying to keep my sanity. These last couple of weeks, I've kinda been at a disconnect with school stuff, as the "real world" and life's challenges are a lot more important. I'm on a quest for clarity. Over the holidays, I took some time to finish a blanket that I had been working on for a while for Miss J. She was very pleased with the final result.

I started a new blanket last night. A little yellow and white number that hopefully will make a mother and her baby very happy. I have plans on finishing it this weekend. Crocheting brings such a tranquil feeling, and with 43 more pages of writing to do, I need all the tranquility that I can get.

43 more pages. WOW!!!! Many vibes of peace and clarity to you.

You inspire me. And you remind me of the peace and self awareness that comes with crafting items by hand. you make me wanna go dig out my knitting needles...!!!

That pink blanket looks so comfy.

If I say "I'm pregnant", can I have it??? Huh, can I? Can I, huh? LOL! Bet it's gonna be pretty. Oh! I know you can make me a scarf. Like you asked, huh? But you know I read a lot and am on the computer a lot so a blankie might be just what the doctor ordered for security and the keeper of all my ideas :-)

@ Jewelry Rockstar: Thanks. I am really becoming less fond of writing every single day.

@ Mama Shujaa: The blankies are really comfy =). I would love to see some of your knitting!

@ Traci: I can't wait to start making scarfs. Almost bought a crochet set that was in the kid section of Barnes and Nobles because it had this cute granny square (which is the pattern I use for my blankets) scarf pattern, and cute hat and purse patterns. It was like that little kit had all the goodies that I wouldn't mind making.

I can see you curled up on the couch under a peridot colored blanket =).

What a cute blanket and a cuter pumpkin underneath it. :-)

How long does it take you to make the blanket?

43 pages? Whats that for??

And pink is my favorite color! I didn't know you made them so big either.

Miss J was the ideal model for that blanket! Made me wanna go get mine, but then I remembered that it's not as fly! Can I have hers? LOL! Beautifully done, Barbara!

@ JenellyBean: I can knock a blanket out in 2 days if I'm really determined and I have the space and opportunity to just be and relax with my yarn. This blanket took a lot longer though because I just came to it whenever I felt like it AND I used a baby soft yarn instead of a regular yarn so my stitches were smaller.

The pages belong to papers I still have to do before the end of the semester.

@ Arlice Nichole: Pink is Miss J's favorite too!

@ Execumama: Thanks! She has been enjoying her blanket all weekend long =).

GREAT color on the blanket! Looks like just her size, too! I bet she's cozy, cozy and it makes it that much more special that you took the time to make it for her!

Thanks Shannon, its her favorite. Now, that things goes everywhere around the house with her, and then back to her bed, lol. I did turn out to be almost the perfect size, hehe.
