A Night with Jamie Foxx

Such an intimate, hilarious experience. Thank you Traci for sharing your win with me!! I had not expected to be smiling at all this weekend, yet, I smiled, danced, laughed and sang along for 3 hours.

We were just two, of hundreds, who came out to show their love and support for the multi-talented Mr. Foxx. He definitely didn't disappoint, giving us a night of comedy, theatrics and sexy vocals. He kept the attention of every lady in the building, and by the end of the night, the fellas were smiling from ear to ear in contemplation of that good lovin' they were sure to get when they got their ladies home.

As I grooved and swayed and thought about Jamie in ways that I probably shouldn't have, I started to appreciate him in ways that I hadn't before. I mean, I've been a fan of his for years, but for some reason, on this particular night, I felt him on a whole new level. Perhaps its because he is on a whole new level now with his acting and music. The man just has pure talent, and I'm glad that he is able to express it across the board. Not many are hitting big in film and in music, and at the same time. Jamie is doing double duty on the road these days as he is on the Blame It tour and on late night promoting his new movie Law Abiding Citizen, which I am hoping to see.

If he comes to a city near you, and you are a true fan of his work, I'd encourage you to check him out in concert. Now if I could only get to see Maxwell in concert!!

He has really come a long way from his days way back on In Living Color. He has truly grown into a wonderful man.

How are you and little Miss J doing? I don't see you as much anymore. I know you're doing your thing. Good to see you.

Yes T. I had so much fun. It was a little of everything going on... he even channeled his inner Ray for us =).

Hey there Mrs. Cooper. I know I haven't hung with you in a while =). Been so busy trying to tackle my many projects, but hopefully I have new thoughts more often so that I can stay in the conversation with everyone.

Okay. I am so honored that you posted about my boyfriend. He did indeed entertain us, didn't he? Loved that! This man is just ALL MAN. He is also a clear picture of what it is to live your dream(s). Who says you can't have multiples interests in life and do them simultaneously? I loved his energy and glad we were able to get away for the night and enjoy some laughter and grown-ass-man sexiness!!! Wouldn't have wanted to go with anyone else, girlie! If only we could have gotten backstage, huh??? LOL!!! Maybe next time...

XOXO

Getting backstage would have been such a treat!! Don't know why they couldn't have thrown that in with the tickets, lol. Its so true. He is a true testament that you can have great success in all of your passions. Why settle for "the best option" when you really can achieve all that you want to achieve.

He was definitely getting his grown man on!!

Damn gurl -- you sound like you got a tad bit sprung! - lol

Glad you had a great time -- you deserve it!

sounds like a great time and I am glad that you enjoyed yourself.

Game recognize game Rue!! Lol. I've been sprung off Jamie as a music artist since the Unpredictable album!

I am often in awe of his talent. It always amazes me when one person can have so much.

Gurl! I was there too!!! Small world. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know I did! What part of the Bay are you in?

Oh...and the review. Kudos! I don't think anyone has said it better.

Sounds like a great concert! I've never seen him perform but maybe I will catch him in the A.

mmm.. mmm... mmmmmmm.... what more can I say? I LOVE this man! Sounds like it was a pretty intimate setting? I would absolutely love to see him live.. he is something ELSE! I saw a poster for that movie when we were at the theatre the other night and my husband literally had to wipe the drool off my chin!
