Friday Fill-Ins

1. Things may not have turned out right the first time, but it is not the end of the world.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I want to curl up with a big bowl home cooked goodness.

3. Cold hot-watered cornbread tastes so good!

4. Sometimes, putting others first is the key to the ultimate happiness.

5. A drive through the desert is breathtaking, really.

6. Well, maybe there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow afterall.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending some time with my journal, tomorrow my plans include reclaiming my space and Sunday, I want to enjoy that reclaimed space!

Hey -- what exactly is your process for reclaiming your space? Just curious. And desert scenery is beautiful!

Girl, I'm gonna be CLEANING MY HOUSE! Lol. Its no longer "a place of comfort" around here and I need to make this house a home again.

LOL. I love cleaning. It is so liberating! Nothing like chilling out after a good day of cleaning. OH, and my favorite is the breathtaking desert too. BTW what is cold hot-watered cornbread? Ugali? ROFL!?

Hahaha. Ok, so, "hot-watered cornbread" is cornbread that is made by combining ingredients with hot water. I think its just corn meal, a little sugar and salt. You combine with the water and then you scoop up a handful, and pat under running hot water into an oblong ball. Then you fry. Its great hot, but also great right out of the fridge the next day =).

I've never had cold hot-watered cornbread before. I do like plain old cornbread though.

At first I thought you said "a drive through dessert is breathtaking" I was like yup, uh-huh I love hot BK chocolate chip cookies. But then I re-read and felt like a fatty. hehehe.
