Although I remain Twitter resistant, at any given time, I have an abundance of tweet-worthy thoughts dancing around my head in intervals. So, today I'm borrowing T. Allen-Mercado's Not Quite Twitter creation to cyber-think aloud. Feel free to jump on board, T has given us her permission.

- I had my first day of Precalculus today and I sat there staring at the equations as if they were a foreign language. To folks in the humanities and the social sciences, THEY ARE! I haven't taken a math class in 7 years, and while I actually enjoyed Geometry and Algebra and Math Analysis, but a lot has happened since those days, its taking me a minute to get back into arithmatic mode.

- Miss J's dad, other half, sperm donor started inappropriately texting me again. The usual "lets be together/we need to be together/come be with me." I didn't respond, nor did I bother to answer his phone calls this weekend. And then today, he sends me a picture of his brand new baby boy. I guess that would explain why he offered to give me full custody of his daughter in exchange for not having to pay child support. Sooooo, he wants to save his money and put it toward his newest investment?

- Wow, Chris Brown was offered and accepted a plea deal? And was given 5 years probation and no jail time for what he did to Rihanna? Really?

- I'm indecisive about growing my hair out. One minute I wanna keep it short, the next minute I am loving my curls... I'm getting my 4th hair cut on Wednesday. I think I'm gonna go short and sassy for the summer and then break out my curling gel and afro pick come fall.

Sasa, Ms. Bar B?!1  I’m liking like this Not Quite Twitter concept...
Ok. Over the weekend, I was too busy to wash and twist my hair (like I usually do) so I called a stylist who, as luck would have it, was free! I made a quick dash to her house, she washed and fried, no pressed my hair, then curled it into little spirals.

I don’t like it.

Yesterday, I worked on sweating it out really hard, added an extra minute of jump roping to my routine, did five more push ups, it is still as straight and curly as can be. Ugh. It smells cooked.

Can’t wait to wash it this weekend and get the gorgeous thickness back. I’m working out today again, so hopefully the roots will begin to kink up… LOL.

I too am proud that you did not answer the calls. Seriously? So, let me get this right. He offered full custody in exchange for no child support? In what Universe is that okay? The gall.

Miss J's dad is trying really hard to get me into Jiu-Jitsu classes, I see! What in tha world....??Anyhoo, please continue to hold it down!

I don't think you should grow out your hair. It can be such a task, and with classes in full swing for you, it's just something else to add to your plate. I wore my hair like yours for about a year, and I LOVED it so very much. Growing it was a chore, but I did it during a "cool out" period in my life to minimize the stress.

Um, and math -- so not my thing! I think some nerd bored out of his mind created calculus to piss off his parents.

Ok, so Math...we already had that discussion in B&N the other day so you very well know my thoughts!!!

Chris & Rihanna...I can't even begin to comment on that dysfunction. And then they said she was upset about the "Stay Away" order for 5 years. Go figure...

The hair...you cut it for a reason of the very inspirational, and spiritual, nature. Let that beauty BE! I love it and it loves you because it soooooo becomes you :-)

Jalia's sperm donor should not be having more kids until he get that bipolar condition tended to. That ass is spreading all kind of unhealthiness out here by making all his deposits. How you gonna a baby of the month!!! Damn! What exactly is the thought process. Loser!

I am on twitter, but I really haven't gotten the hang of it, or understand WTH I'm supposed to be doing there.

I like your comforting place. The music really puts me at ease.
