See, What Had Happened Was...

I know I told you that I'd be back last week when I was on Spring Break, but I was all busy sleeping, watching movies, and attending my friend's son's baseball games trying to power through readings in preparation for an upcoming midterm and encourage myself to complete a month old paper for the same class. Because the midterm hasn't happened yet and neither has the paper, I am not officially "here", but still in a mode of preparation and self encouragement.

Now that that's outta the way... how've ya'll been??? I miss you a bunch! I hope I haven't missed too much excitement to get all caught up on. I don't have much excitement to report at the moment since studying is everything BUT exciting. I did get orders for 2 baby blankets though... now I just gotta find time to get them done before their future owners enter the world.

I also decided to get a haircut this week. I'll be in Wildboy's chair tomorrow morning. I am loving my curls, but there is just something about waves that I equally love. I gotta have em'. So I'm gonna employ my Ex to school me on how to "train" my hair, which I already know is gonna involve a lot of brushing. I was gonna let it grow out until graduation and possibly get some baby locs, but at the rate my hair is currently growing, by the time I'm ready to walk the stage my growth will more than likely be right back where it is now if I don't decide to cut again before then. We'll see what happens.

This is the growth so far. I went and let Wildboy clean me up in the back a couple of weeks ago.

Tomorrow I will be looking more like this...

So, not completely bald again, but just enough for me to start brushing the hell out of it and tying it up at night in hopes of getting it to eventually look like this...

Alrighty then... that's all for now. I shall return soon...

no worries at all. know you've got lots going on and spring break's just the time to be trying to catch up. (says the person who's never gone anywhere during a college spring break because of so much work!)

i've been so swamped lately myself, it's a wonder that i'm even able to be reading and commenting on blogs. gotta have it, though!

great news about the blankets.

you wear that cut so well. looks tempting...

Missed you:) Yes, you definitely wear that hairstyle so well. Beautiful:):)

LOVE the waves! Can't wait to see when you get your hair all sassy! :)

Wow! It looks good on you. I look forward to the waves, but even until then, it still looks good. Not everyone can sport a shorty like that! You wear it well.

I am not a hair person. My daughter, my kids'father (my ex, whom we get along well with)and his wife where the locks. I tend to put a warm hot come through mine which is about shoulder length. I simply pull it back to a twist then pin it up. Other than that, when I get really bored with it, I put crotchets in it.

I think I won't cut my hair because my grandmother once said to me, "Don't ever cut your hair." I didn't question it, just said "ok". Ever since then, I think about that when it comes to my hair. That was back when I was about 15 years old! Wow, the impact of the words of those whom we love and trust!

Papers and midterms, are good excuses. I wish I had something that solid as to why I've been slacking off.

i suck, 'nuff said...no excuses-just plain ol' sloth! :) you look lovely and i can't wait to see you all waved up.

Glad to have you back looking super fly as always!

show us the waves beautiful! ~Lovely weekend with your sweetie pie!

I like the cut. Do ya thing. Individuality is lacking today, so it's a good look.

I like that! Very sleek. When I was on college I cut off my hair like yours and loved it.
