Your America: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

There is a lot that can be said about America. The many different worlds that exist within this place. With no batteries in my camera and Tameka's America fresh on my brain, I am going to borrow a page from Tupac Shakur's America, laid out in his book of poetry, The Rose That Grew From Concrete, to help me out. I always find it funny how Tupac's words NEVER get old...

And 2morrow
By: Tupac Shakur

Today is filled with anger
Fueled with hidden hate
Scared of being outcast
Afraid of common fate
Today is built on tragedies
which no one wants 2 face
Nightmares 2 humanities
and morally disgraced
Tonight is filled with rage
Violence in the air
Children bred with ruthlessness
Because no one at home cares
Tonight I lay my head down
But the pressure never stops
gnawing at my sanity
content when I am dropped
But 2morrow I c change
A chance 2 build anew
Build on spirit, intent of heart
and ideals based on truth
And 2morrow I wake with second wind
And strong because of pride
2 know I fought with all my heart 2 keep my dream alive

I would love to know what he would have written today, right now, on the coat tails of a revolution.

I {LUV} this!
...Pac would have penned some mind blowing spoken word anthem...
...we HAVE to be ready

Hmm, I wonder what he would have had to say. The man was brilliant and I for one would have lined up to hear what he had to say. Wait, me, in line? Never happen. But you know what I mean. Great post.
